Debit Card Round-Up
With Debit Card Round-Up, you can save without even thinking about it. With this program, your debit card transactions are "rounded-up" to the nearest dollar with the change deposited into your savings account! Speak to a MSR about enrolling in this program today!
Mastercard Identity Check
To further safeguard your online transactions, we've implemented Mastercard Identity Check as an easy authentication method to verify your identity. No enrollment necessary! The One-Time Passcode (OTP) service through Mastercard Identity Check is automatically in effect when your CFCU Mastercard Debit Card is used at participating ecommerce merchants. Here's how it works:
- Enter your purchase information
- When the Mastercard Identity Check pop-up appears, select your method of One-Time Passcode delivery - text to your mobile phone or a phone call.
- Enter the One-Time Passcode provided; your transaction is complete!
If an invalid OTP is entered in the checkout screen, the transaction will not be authenticated. If three (3) consectutive invalid OTPs are entered into the checkout screen, your card will be blocked at all Identity Check participating ecommerce merchants. To unblock your card, contact us.
Foreign Country Transactions
To help protect our members against fraud, all foreign country ATM/Debit Card transactions will be blocked and not approved. If you are traveling out of the country, you may stop by any branch office to notify a MSR so that we may authorize your transactions. This waiver removes the security restrictions on your ATM/Debit Card just for the period of time you request.
Lost and Stolen ATM/Debit Cards
- Find the Circle FCU App on your Google Play or Apple Store to turn your debit card on and off, report a card stolen, and view recent card activity.
- Call (800)528-2273.
- If you have found a lost ATM/Debit card after hours, call (800) 383-8000.
To change your PIN number, call (800)717-4923 from your phone number we have on file and follow the steps outlined below to select and activate your PIN:
- Call the interactive voice response (IVR) number at (800)717-4923
- Follow the voice prompts to enter the required information using your telephone keypad
- Once you have confirmed your selected PIN, the IVR will provide a confirmation number and you will need to use your new PIN going forward
Please remember to never write down or disclose your PIN to anyone, including law enforcement, your financial institution or family.
You will need to ensure you are calling from the phone number Circle FCU has on file for you. To update this information, visit your It'sMe247 Online Banking page, click on 'Info Center, then 'Personal Information'.

- Admiral Gas Stations
Effective September 4, 2019, you may be required to enter your PIN number when paying at the gas pump with your Circle FCU Debit Card. Due to the increasing number of fraud cases being seen on debit cards at gas stations, we have decided to implement this practice to best protect you. So what does this mean? You may not be able to run your debit card as credit at the gas pump. If the question on the gas pump asks “is this a credit card?”, you will need to hit no and enter your PIN.
Debit Card Fraud Protection
Keeping your account safe and secure is our highest priority. We partner with SHAZAM, our debit card processor, to implement a fraud management solution powered by FICO® Falcon® to help protect your debit card against fraudulent activity.
As part of our debit card protection program, we provide text alerts when suspicious activity is detected on your Circle FCU debit card. If you receive a text alert, reply Yes or No to confirm or deny the activity. If you reply No (the activity is fraudulent), you’ll quickly receive a follow up text to let you know that a SHAZAM fraud specialist will call you soon to help protect your account. We’ll also automatically block your debit card to prevent any additional fraudulent activity.
If you reply Yes (the activity was legitimate), you can continue to use your debit card as normal. If you don’t reply to the text, or your phone number is not a mobile number, we’ll attempt to reach you via automated voice call.
